The timber and forest product practice at the firm has grown with the addition of the former general counsel of a group of integrated forest product companies and one of the first timber real estate investment trusts. The practice involves acquisitions, sales, like-kind exchanges, complex timber cutting contracts, management agreements, leases of timber properties, mortgage financing and timber taxation issues.
