Mr. Brittenum concentrates in the practice areas of land use, planning and zoning, government advocacy, and litigation. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Wyoming and his Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University. Mr. Brittenum is currently serving as a member of the Board of Commissioners, Memphis Light Gas and Water Division, the largest three-service public utility in the United States. He served on the Memphis City Council from November 2005 through 2007 where he acted as Chair of the Economic Development, Tourism and Technology Committee. Mr. Brittenum served as a founding member of the Supreme Court of Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education from 1986 to 1993. He is an Assistant Shelby County Attorney (1985 --). He is a member of the International, National, and Memphis Bar Associations and a fellow with the Memphis Bar Foundation.
