John M. Farris Memphis, Downtown Office
Mr. Farris' practice concentrates in the areas of governmental relations, tax law, estate planning, and telecommunications law. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis, and his Masters of Law in Taxation from Frederic G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. Mr. Farris was a Delinquent Tax Attorney for Shelby County from 1988 to 1990, member of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission from 1994 to 1995, Chairman of the Shelby County Democratic Party from 1989 to 1993, member of the Shelby County Democratic Executive Committee from 1988-1997, member of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Insurance Trust Fund from 1992 to 1995, and Chairman of the Tennessee Democratic County Chairs Association in 1993. He is a member of the Memphis and American Bar Associations, the Florida Bar, American Academy of Hospital Attorneys, and Tennessee Society of Hospital Attorneys.
